Intertwined Hub

Intertwined Hub reimagines community interior design to resolve elderly isolation in Stockport’s ageing town centre. This three-floor intergenerational hub establishes distinct yet interconnected spaces for casual socialising, bilateral skill exchange and collaborative farm-to-table dining.

By prioritising universal accessibility, natural warm materials and flexible open layouts, the design removes generational barriers, turning everyday shared activities into opportunities for genuine connection. Moving beyond traditional segregated care facilities, the project frames space as a tool to foster cross-age mutual respect and long-term communal belonging, offering a practical human-centric solution for inclusive urban renewal.
