Parity film synopsis, inspired by the socio-political backdrop of the NHS:
Mr Grady, an egotistical profiteer, sits impatiently in a hospital waiting room. He's presented as rather unapproachable as he notices a closed ward in front of him, closed down by his own company "DiviCura." After realising this he hides his badge to protect his image before being called by a nurse as he follows her into the hospital. Amidst the increasing liminal dread she vanishes leaving him alone, besides a mysterious figure that stalks Grady in the distance menacingly
Using his phone light, Grady pushes forward into the unsettling hospital space, discovering a corridor of empty beds. The lights snap on one by one revealing overcrowded beds and the mystical aura of an old withered surgeon. Grady tries to flee but is swept off his feet as the liminality engulfs him, presenting him with abstract imagery pertaining to systemic and moral shortcomings on behalf of healthcare as he reflects through the hospital's liminal forces.
Grady bursts free and sprints through the hospital desperate to refuge within the normality of the waiting room. He spots a light at the end of a long decaying hallway as the hospital morphs into a tense nightmare. He crashes through this door revealing he is back in the waiting room, out the ward closed by himself. With this newfound experience, Grady sharpens his image in his reflection before donating money and binning his "DiviCura" badge. The camera holds on the badge in the bin as we see a doppelgänger waiting in Grady's seat, illustrating the cyclical nature of this hospital and its inhabitants.
